The Slovak Textile Artists Association TXT announces the topic of the 13. Minitextile Exhibition

This exhibition shall inspire thoughts about ambivalent meaning of some terms, phenomena and things.

We expect to see an innovative and creative approach to the topic. The visual interpretation must include fabric-processing techniques as well as the artist´s own technique combined with fabric. The works of art must not exceed 20x20x20cm. A maximum of three works of art per one person may be entered. This exhibiting competition is open for professional artists and for students at universities of art. Participation at the exhibition is subject to a decision of the jury.

The application must include a concise professional curriculum vitae, pictures in good quality of the works of art applying for the exhibition and a completed application form.

Exhibitors are requested to pay an admission fee. Slovak artists are requested to pay 10,- EUR, students 5,- EUR, foreign artists 20,- EUR and foreign students 10,- EUR.

Each exhibitor is entitled to one catalogue free of charge.

1. April 2011	Entering applications and pictures of works of art
15.- 20. Aprill	Sitting of Jury
2.- 6. May	Announcing the works of art admitted for the exhibition
15. – 31. May	Admission fee transfers
27. – 30. May	Entering exhibits
2. June	Opening the exhibition
3. - 26. June	Exhibition

At the vernissage, the jury shall announce three works of art awarded with the Jury Award for Professionals, the Jury Award for Students and the TXT Association Award. The author of the exhibit awarded with the Jury Award for Professionals will have the opportunity to give her or his own exhibition as part of the next year´s exhibition. The winner´s works shall be published in the catalogue as well as on the TXT website.

The exhibition will take place at Galéria SVÚ at Dostojevského rad 2 in Bratislava, www.svu.sk

The TXT Association will again look for opportunities to show the exhibition elsewhere as well. The exhibitors shall be informed of the venue and of the date in advance.
