The TXT organization invites all textile artists and art students to submit works to the small format juried exhibition on the topic Face to Face.

Individuals, as well as society in general, often find themselves in situations that need to be addressed Face to Face. We might be confronted with circumstances that turn our way of life upside down and we cannot simply avoid them.

Face to Face is about mutual communication. Increasingly this takes place electronically, replacing personal contact or dialogue with a virtual experience.

Face to Face is also about the highly current topic of social and cultural integration, about the ability to understand and help, even at the cost of our own discomfort.

The topic of Face to Face should provoke reflection about issues that for many reasons are pushed into the back of our minds when they do not affect us directly. It should also motivate us to establish a firm approach and creative response.

Criteria:

We expect to see subjective and clear interpretations of the topic. The visual interpretation must include fabric-processing techniques as well as the artist´s own technique combined with fabric. The works of art must not exceed 20x20x20cm. A maximum of three works of art per one person may be entered. This exhibiting competition is open for professional artists and for students at universities of art. The artworks mustn´t include a special construction nor a frame. The weight of the package must not be more than 2 kg.

Artists who will be selected to take part at the exhibition are requested to pay an admission fee 30 €, students 20 €. Each participant will receive a catalogue for free.
